·        Students will be able to use Venn diagrams in a variety of situations.

 

·        Students will understand how to draw information from a story for understanding.

 

·        Students will know how to compare and contrast.

 

Assessment Strategies:

·        Students will complete a Venn diagram based on the book.

 

Material Resources Required:

·        Book: Home for a Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown

 

·        Paper

 

·        Crayon/pencil

 

Procedures:

·        I will introduce and read the book, Home for a Bunny, out loud.

 

·        I will ask them if they can find any similarities or differences between this story and any other stories they have read.

 

·        I will draw a Venn diagram on the board and show the students how to use it to compare and contrast two different animals.

 

·        The students will then go off and complete a Venn diagram.
