This Web Quest was developed by Kelli Beasley, Ashley Christie and Amanda Simpson, University of Texas Arlington. This Web Quest was created in READ 4373 class to develop students’ interest in reading content area science trade books through integrating hands on science activities, children’s literature and technology. This introduction to sunflowers based on the book This Is the Sunflower by Lola M. Schaefer will demonstrate the life cycle of a sunflower. It will include vocabulary pertaining to sunflowers, a read aloud of the book and a hands-on science experiment. |
